European Youth Engagement Strategy – Democratization of Young Voters
Building the Foundation
We establish the fundamental concepts of “Democratization Process” and “Citizen Science-Based Engagement” as the cornerstone of our approach to fostering active citizenship among young people. This conceptual framework underpins the European Youth Engagement Strategy and guides our collective efforts to enhance youth participation in European Union policymaking.
Strategic Manual – “Get Informed, Get Involved, Get Active!”
Our Strategic Manual is structured around three core pillars designed to inspire and empower youth engagement:
Get Informed – provides a comprehensive understanding of democratic participation and the role of young people within it;
Get Involved – encourages direct and meaningful participation through interactive and experiential opportunities;
Get Active, Get Vote! – mobilizes young citizens to recognize the significance of their vote and to actively shape the democratic future of Europe.
This resource equips young Europeans with practical tools and strategies to comprehend and engage effectively in EU decision-making processes.
Transnational Youth Lab – You(th)Europe Academy
Hosted in Portugal, the You(th)Europe Academy serves as a transnational platform bringing together young citizens and policymakers to engage in dialogue on European democracy. Through participatory sessions and collaborative discussions, participants gain in-depth insights into the functioning of EU institutions and explore ways to advocate for policies that reflect their needs, aspirations, and values.
Local Round Tables – “Voter = Activist”
Organized in Poland, the “Voter = Activist” initiative features a series of local round tables that connect young people with experts and policymakers. These discussions empower participants to examine how their individual votes contribute to shaping Europe’s collective future. By engaging directly with candidates and opinion leaders, young citizens strengthen their understanding of democratic processes and their role as informed, proactive voters.

Young Ambassadors Programme
The EUPULSE Young Ambassadors Programme empowers a network of youth leaders who actively promote voter awareness and democratic participation across their communities. Through local events, educational activities, and coordinated social media initiatives, these ambassadors raise awareness of EU policies, inspire their peers to participate in elections, and cultivate a shared sense of civic engagement and democratic responsibility among young Europeans.
Digital Youth Activism and Social Media Campaign
EUPULSE’s Digital Youth Activism Campaign leverages social media to engage young citizens in the European electoral process. Using dynamic content such as infographics, short videos, and interactive posts, the campaign makes policy discussions both accessible and appealing. Under hashtags like #YOU(th)Vote and #GetActive, the initiative mobilizes youth across Europe to connect, express their opinions, and take an active role in shaping Europe’s democratic future.
Youth Voting Breakfast
The Youth Voting Breakfast, organized in Thessaloniki, serves as an informal yet impactful dialogue platform between young citizens and representatives of EU institutions. This event fosters open discussion on youth electoral participation, offering participants an opportunity to share perspectives, reflect on policy agendas, and advocate for youth-oriented priorities within the European policy landscape. By combining dialogue and networking, the event strengthens mutual understanding between youth and decision-makers at both local and European levels.
Youth Activation Campaign – Young Ambassadors Re-shape Europe
Follow-Up and Capitalization Plan of the European Year of Youth
Building on the momentum and achievements of the European Year of Youth, EUPULSE is committed to ensuring that youth engagement in European politics and policymaking remains dynamic and sustainable. The follow-up and capitalization plan focuses on raising awareness, enhancing participatory competencies, and developing long-term resources that empower young people to actively contribute to shaping the European Union’s future.
Local Dissemination Events
EUPULSE implements a series of local dissemination events across partner cities to present the key outcomes of the European Year of Youth and to continue inspiring young people to participate in democratic life. These events act as inclusive spaces for dialogue, where youth can explore EU policies, engage with local and regional policymakers, and reflect on their own role in building the future of Europe.
Online Campaign for Youth Participation in Politics
Through a dedicated online awareness campaign, EUPULSE promotes the significance of youth involvement in political and decision-making processes. By showcasing the tools and mechanisms available for young people to influence policy, the campaign encourages continuous engagement and nurtures a culture of informed, active, and responsible citizenship among Europe’s youth.
Youth Magazine – “Youth Manifesto: European Year of Youth, Our Year!”
Developed during the third thematic workshop in Romania, the Youth Manifesto Magazine serves as both a creative platform and an educational resource for young Europeans. Capturing the essence of the European Year of Youth, it features stories, reflections, and concrete recommendations from young contributors across Europe. The magazine stands as a legacy publication, ensuring that the lessons, experiences, and aspirations of this landmark year continue to inspire and mobilize future generations.
